FC 27 is set to introduce a new way for the community to participate in the development of FUT content. Alongside updated player ratings and a revamped item system to buy FC 27 Coins, EA is launching the first Glory Path campaign, allowing players to vote for the footballers they believe will make the biggest impact during the upcoming season. Voting will take place from August 21 to September 10, 2026, while the Glory Path event will run from September 25 to October 9, 2026.
For players getting ready for the new Ultimate Team cycle, having enough resources will also be important. You can buy FC 27 Coins to help prepare your squad for new players, packs, and other FUT content.
FC 27 Player Ratings Take Center Stage
Player ratings are always among the most anticipated details before a new FC game launches. This year, FC 27 is putting even more emphasis on the relationship between in-game ratings and real-world football.
Once the international transfer window closes and clubs finalize their squads, EA will release the final ratings database update in September. The update will also provide information about each player's PlayStyles, giving FUT players a better understanding of how different footballers will perform on the virtual pitch.
This final database should become an important reference point for players planning their early FUT squads.
What Is the Glory Path?
The Glory Path is the first major FUT campaign in FC 27 to be influenced directly by community voting. Instead of leaving the entire selection process to EA, players will have an opportunity to choose the footballers they believe are destined to become some of the most important performers of the season.
Voting begins on August 21 through the FC 27 Player Ratings Database. You can select players you expect to break out, succeed after transferring to a new club, lead their teams to trophies, or simply deliver outstanding performances throughout the campaign.
The players receiving strong support from the community will have the opportunity to become part of the first Glory Path squad.
How to Vote for Glory Path Players
The voting process is straightforward:
1. Open the FC 27 Player Ratings Database when voting starts on August 21.
2. Browse through the available players.
3. Identify the footballers you believe will have a major influence on the season.
4. Select the Vote button beside your chosen players.
5. Submit your selections.
Every player listed in the ratings database will be eligible, and there is no stated limit on how many players you can support.

New FC 27 Base Item Rarities
FC 27 is also simplifying the base FUT item rarity structure. Bronze, Silver, and Gold items will no longer be split into Common and Rare versions.
Instead, base cards will simply be categorized as Bronze, Silver, or Gold. This change should make the basic item system easier to understand while giving special promotional cards more room to stand out.
Live Upgrades Add More Excitement
One of the biggest attractions of Glory Path is that selected players will receive live-upgradable items. Their cards can improve according to their performances in real-world football.
That means a player who performs exceptionally well during the season could see their Glory Path item become significantly stronger. The system creates an additional reason for FUT players to follow real football results after the event begins.
It also means that choosing players during the voting period is more than simply predicting which stars will be popular. Fans are effectively identifying the footballers they believe will deliver on the pitch.
Why Glory Path Could Be Important for FUT
The combination of community voting and live upgrades gives FC 27 a more dynamic opening FUT campaign. Players will have an opportunity to influence the content before the season begins, then watch their selected footballers develop based on real-world performances.
This approach could make the early stages of FC 27 Ultimate Team more engaging, especially for players who closely follow both FUT and real football.
Conclusion
FC 27 is introducing a community-focused approach to player ratings and FUT content with the launch of Glory Path. From August 21 to September 10, players can vote for the footballers they believe will define the upcoming season. The selected players will then feature in the Glory Path campaign from September 25 to October 9, with live upgrades connected to their real-world performances.
With the final ratings database, new base item structure to buy FC 27 Coins, community voting, and performance-based upgrades all arriving around the start of the new FUT cycle, FC 27 is setting up an exciting beginning for Ultimate Team. Players who want to prepare early can also use FC 27 Coins to build and strengthen their squads as the new season gets underway.
